I don't know about attractive/pretty (it's kind of a bland gray), but I have the Intuos 2, which I like. The 3"x5" is a bit small; the pad maps to the screen, so bigger is very much better. I use it for minor freehand retouch of photos, but since you're more heavily into graphics you should really get a larger size.

Size matters, when it comes to wacom tablets. You can adjust the resolution of the tablet regardless of the size, but you'll find it's very difficult to perform intricate Photoshop touchups with a small tablet... unless you're willing to continually scroll around the image and then magnify it immensely when you find the area you're looking for. This is because you "map" your tablet to correspond proportionally to the image on the screen (unlike a mouse whose movements generally aren't set to be proportional to the screen -- which is why it's near impossible to draw a decent circle with a mouse, even though your hands are drawing a good circle). With a small tablet (3x5 or 6x8), the slightest movement of your stylus pen sends the cursor hurling across the screen, which makes it difficult to do detailed work. With a larger tablet (say 12x12 or 12x18) you can work on a high resolution document and perform detailed work without hassle. So I would recommend one of those sizes for you. The 12x12 is like a medium pizza box and will take up a big chunk of desk space in front of you, but you can just stash it away next to the computer when you're not using it or eat your dinner off of it. The 12x18 will extend out into your living room and halfway into the street, so unless you've got a lot of desk room it may be too cumbersome. They also make a 9x12. I personally use a 6x8 because I just draw low-res cartoons and I don't need a tablet any bigger that a sheet of paper. Hope this helps you draw some pretty pictures. - P
