Been there done that, Hon. I must say that the last one paid off though it took me four years to finally get in the salary range I deserved. If he does decide he wants to hire you, you should mention that you feel a project manager position is worth more than the 42K as it is a lot more responsibility. I have a serious problem with companies that only want to hire young people as I've had a bad experience with them in the past. Generally they want to hire young people because they think that can get away with paying them less for more work. Also find out what the benefits are. There should be retirement, vacation and health benefits with that kind of position. Just my ages of crappy job experience being voiced here...

hey you could tell him what u feel u wanted to say before..and then tell him that if thats not the case of him able to meet your demands cos you got other offers meeting ur expected salary amount!!.

Tell him that the # you stated was for the graphics design position, and that you are comfortable with that rate, provided it's at a 90 day rate, to be reviewed and moved to 45, or whatever rate you feel the position warrants. you know you're good enough, you'll get the bump, if he knows it too.
